Product thinking, what’s new, behind the scenes, and the occasional opinion.

Decision Mode is live
Decision Mode helps you pick tonight's meal from your own recipes, fast — four ways in, three suggestions instead of thirty, all drawn from your library and running entirely on your device.
-
A home base, printing, and a few quiet fixes
A quieter week of work: the dashboard becomes a proper home base, every recipe now prints to a clean, kitchen-friendly layout with its source, linking your phone is easier, and sign-in, the shared header, dark mode, and screen-reader support all got steadier.
-
New this week: the cook log (and a cautionary loaf)
The new cook log keeps a private history of every time you make a recipe — your tweaks, how it turned out, and a photo — without touching the original. Plus a week of accessibility work, and a loaf that did not cooperate.

Introducing Cook Mode
Cook Mode is a distraction-free, full-screen way to cook from your recipes — one large step at a time, with read-aloud, inline ingredient amounts, and a screen that stays awake.
-
Capseta now understands your ingredients
A recent update taught Capseta to read your ingredients — unlocking self-combining shopping lists, unit conversion, baking by weight, and one-tap scaling.
-
Welcome to the Capseta public beta
Capseta is now open to anyone. For the next few months it's free, and your feedback will shape what it becomes.
